در فاصله مناسبی شیر ولو را در مسیر عمودی و یا افقی لوله نصب کنید.
قبل از در سرویس قرار دادن این شیر باید تمام قطعات کاربردی شیر از نظر ظاهری چک شوند.
از محکم بودن تمام پیچ ها اطمینان پیدا کنید.
خط لوله ای که شیر در آن نصب می باشد باید عاری از هرگونه مواد خارجی باشد.
قبل از راه اندازی شیر حداقل یکبار دیسک شیر را به طور کامل باز و بسته کنید تا از عملکرد آن اطمینان حاصل نمایید.
